Coaching Description

PREREQUISITES:

• At least 18 years old

• Complete an application 

• Pass a background check (does NOT include a credit check)

• Agree with the Groundwire Statement of Faith and Code of Conduct

• Have internet access

PURPOSE:
A coach offers authentic conversation via a secure platform with the intent of helping the Explorer connect with a local Christian Peer Group and ongoing discipleship resources.

GOALS FOR EACH CONVERSATION:

• Confirm the Explorer knows Jesus

• Identify what needs the Explorer has that would make a Christian Peer Group a strong fit

• Find a local Christian Peer Group for the Explorer

• Invite the Explorer to sign-up to receive (free) ongoing discipleship resources

 

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Commit 2-4 hours or more online weekly as your schedule permits.

• Engage in conversation with Explorers via text message through our secure platform.

• Help Explorers connect with a local Christian Peer Group that will match the needs present in their life as a new believer.

APPLICATION PROCESS & TRAINING CONSISTS OF:

• Submitting an online coaching application 

• Groundwire will conduct a criminal background check (does NOT include a credit check).

• The Growth Team admin will contact your spiritual reference.

• Training will happen on our training platform. It is self-paced and lasts approximately 2 hours.

GROUNDWIRE COMMITS TO A COACH:

• Review conversations for the protection of the Coaches and Explorers.

• Ensure that a consistent message of the word of God is being presented.

• Provide ongoing training and support for Coaches.
