Text Version

You know, I must be one of the few people today that doesn’t like roller coasters.  I don’t appreciate the whippy curves, or the drastic altitude changes.  I don’t enjoy the loop to loops or the jerky motions.  I am one of those strange people who has never liked the dips, depressions, and sudden drops.  If you would have seen my ride a roller coaster when I was younger you would have pointed, laughed, and jeered.  The reason that you would have done that is because I was a wimp.  I couldn’t handle even the most simple of roller coasters.

However, I refuse to point and laugh at you if your life seems like a roller coaster, with emotional pitfalls and daily drops.  There is nothing humorous about the embarrassment that comes from disappointment or the anguish that comes from failure.  Nothing about abuse or abandonment brings a smile to my face.  And, I know that God doesn’t find humor in such things either.  His heart breaks for those that have been taken advantage of or left all alone.

His hands catch the tears of the one that has been wounded.  If your life feels like a roller coaster, you can turn to God.  Not only is He watching you lovingly, but He has the ability to stop the ride.    © 2005 Champion Ministries dba Groundwire
