Text Version Before the first fish swam or the first dove fluttered, it had been determined that Jesus would lay down his divinity to fulfill God's ultimate purpose. He would be born of a virgin in a Bethlehem manger, be raised as the son of a carpenter, and grow in wisdom and stature. At the appropriate age, he would begin his public ministry. He would call twelve to his inner circle, perform wonderful miracles motivated by love, and teach with an impossible-to-ignore authority that would inspire thousands and infuriate the religious. It was not just his life that was pre-ordained, but his death as well. God knew that his death would bring a revolution. Pain would be endured. Disgrace would be embraced. Blood would be shed. The goal was costly. Sacrifice was involved. But, the end result was worth all that was required. Through the death of God's only son, the separation between God and man was closed. Because of Jesus, a relationship with the Creator of the Universe was made possible for all who choose to allow Him into their life. © 2007 Champion Ministries dba Groundwire |
