With God, what is in the past is over with. Even if you have made mistakes recently, when you recognize your problems, walk away from them, then ask God to forgive you, he does not remember them and He refuses to hold them against you.

This is a foreign concept for most of us, but it is true. The God who knows everything chooses to forget. When he forgives you, it is done. Those blunders that are hanging over your head are not on God's mind. Those major slip-ups have been eradicated.

So, if God forgave you, why are you still holding onto them? There is a simple, but embarrassing answer to that question. You are choosing to believe the lies of God's enemy. He whispers...you respond.
